    The North

With both of the remaining stations previously owned by Ev0ke in G8AD-C and XZH-4X falling to Goons on Thursday and Sunday respectively, we can safely say that the Cloud Ring campaign for the most part has ended successfully and Cloud Ring is now the new goony home. Ev0ke with the aid of Cry Havoc and Red Overlord did try defending the G8AD and XZH stations on Thursday, and managed to save the XZH station before Northern Coalition’s reinforcements arrived but after different battles occurring in both systems, Northern Coalition came on top and controled the field. The XZH station was put in Reinforced Mode again exiting its invulnerable status on Saturday, and was promptly captured without any resistance.

Cloud Ring should in no way be seen as important property to goons, they had already stated that their investment to the area in terms of assets will be minimal, though it does serve as a base for their members to make money, while it is also a strategic base for Goons to be closer to the rest of the NC and a means to secure the western entrance to the NC’s regions.

On Sunday, a small NC fleet of about 35 battleships+support attempted taking out the Infrastructure Hub that was coming out of reinforced in Cry Havoc owned system HPS5-C in Pure Blind , that is adjacent to D2-HOS, the only station system Cry Havoc owns. While NC also had a 40 man fleet next door, said fleet was ran by a newly added NC guest alliance by the name of The Few. (see last paragraph of the Providence update), and coordination between the two fleets was terrible. Reinforcements kept coming but Cry Havoc had the upper hand from the beginning, and the I-HUB was saved.

Also, the major part of Branch that has being vastly uninhabited has been shared among two renter alliances of Razor, Looney Tunes and United Front Alliance.

Lastly, the long-awaited campaign to reclaim Geminate begins tomorrow, with NC fleets assembling at around 17:00 Eve time. I’m not sure how exciting it will be with the state of the servers, since every single battle I had in Geminate was lagged out to hell, and I’m assuming that it might progress in exactly the same manner as the loss of Geminate to ATLAS occurred.

The goals of the campaign are quite obvious. The Northern Coalition has added a number of alliances as guests to its list lately, which both means that the NC has entities to install in Geminate but also that more space is needed to house those entities. Zenith Affinity and Godfathers are the most probable inhabitants of Geminate, supposing the campaign will be a success, although more may follow.

    The Wizardhats

    ...or the great Providence falling...

Aralis, CVA’s current leader and the providence coalition’s executor made another inspirational speech with the title ‘Now what?’ on past Wednesday that turned out to be as effective and accurate as his previous speeches have been. The speech started with what he probably assumed that is a relief statement of ‘nothing much has actually changed’ and that ‘all is proceeding as you expect’ while talking about continuing to lose systems but stating that it’s ‘FAR from over’. He also repeated his belief in his plan to bore their enemies out, by giving them systems and stations without fights.

The speech continued with what is his viewpoint on Southern Coalition’s internal relations, judging from the conflict between Systematic Chaos and Stain Empire/C0ven in Period Basis and the coalition’s big players relations, or how loyal they are to each other, and concluded by implying that the Southern Coalition will soon crumble internally, or something as diluted.

In the third part, aside from your normal hurf blurf moral stuff like ‘make the most fun out of it’, I say rape is no fun, ‘.. have a blast. When you undock a ship you know it's already lost.Same for when you build a station’, I don’t know how those even go together, lies the first call for Holders to evacuate important assets to lowsec. While he does state this call doesn’t equate to a full evacuation or shouldn’t be interpreted as giving up, and that even if Providence falls to the last station they’ll continue fighting from lowsec, in my view it’s a call based on the late realization that Providence is falling and there's no way back. Better late than never I guess.

Only to prove him right on his ‘nothing much has actually changed’ and to prove him wrong on his assessment towards the SC’s internal state, Systematic Chaos also jumped into the bandwagon the day after by attacking and capturing the R3-K7K station system from CVA with minimal to no resistance, with ATLAS attacking the 9-F0B2 system at the other side of Providence on Friday. Fidelas Constans responding to ATLAS attack, tried to claim sovereignty in R-K4Q7, OGL8-Q and J-ODE7 in Catch but AAA’s cap fleet killed the Territorial Claim Units before they online. Various battles to defend 9-F0B2 occurred between Providence allies and the Southern Coalition in the meantime with Providence showing in force to defend it, and Fidelitas Constans making a last attempt yesterday by suiciding a mixed fleet of capitals and support on the ATLAS Sovereignty Blocade Unit with a fleet of around 50. ATLAS replied with a fleet of 170 HACs and 4 supercarriers that completely decimated FCON’s fleet .

So the station after exiting its last Reinforced Mode fell today to ATLAS hands. There is a continuing bug with Territorial Claim Units and while ATLAS has placed and onlined their TCU, sovereignty appears unclaimed.

Lastly, Against All Authorities also reinforced the station belonging to CVA in F-YH5FB and killed its Infrastructure Hub.

On the political side, former Paxton Federation and Libertas Fidelitas corporation Smegnet Incorporated left Libertas Fidelitas that is now down to 275 members from nearly a 1000 since the invasion began. Makaly Zarya made a good-bye post on the providence forums explaining the reasons behind their departure from Providence with the most notable statement being his belief that ‘No military decisions should be made based on Role-playing’, referring to CVA’s Project ‘Deliverance’, a project with goal to claim all known space for the Amarr empire, with the main reasoning behind that statement being that the majority of Providence doesn’t even role-play, so taking military decisions based upon some retarded role-play idea (my words), isn’t really something that would make sense to them or they would want to fight for. SMEGI joined Gentlemen’s Club, a member of the ATLAS bloc.

Also, the first corporation to leave CVA was Clan Shadow Wolf, a former Sylph Alliance corp, who created their own alliance by the name of The Few. and joined the Northern Coalition as Wildly Inappropriate guests. They base out of Pure Blind.

    The South-West

Having to read through all this pile of shit that is the Systematic Chaos versus Stain Empire & C0ven war in Esoteria reminded me that the Southern Coalition has definitely the biggest drama queens in the game. And having to read all that wasn’t really an enjoying experience. Anyway..

The diplomatic overview of the situation as it stands now is that the Southern Coalition decided to support Sys-K on this, with both the Romulans and ATLAS joining in to the fight. While Stain Empire & C0ven are by far more organized and experienced, they are much less willing to fight boring sovereignty wars and have generally showed that they aren’t exactly happy with retaining long standing blue lists. On the other hand, Sys-k may be less organized and efficient, especially on a pilot by pilot basis, but since they have joined the Southern Coalition they have been working closely with its major entities in most campaigns and the SC was happy to come to their assistance before as well as it occurred with Goons’ attack in Esoteria and Sys-K’s assistance towards IT in retaking Delve.

This decision hasn’t been accepted unanimously, and especially from Against All Authorities’ old guard that holds strong sentiments for Stain Empire. However, I do believe that AAA wouldn’t risk their political stability with other Southern Coalition entities, especially when there’s both the Providence campaign running and when the majority of the SC and half of AAA’s bloc would side against them if they decided to support the Stainwagon.

There were also rumours of Liam Fremen (Sys-k leader) having done a deal with Brick Squad, a resident alliance of NPC Stain who has been hostile to both the Stainwagon and the SC, mostly deriving from the fact that Brick Squad nearly simultaneously with the war between Sys-k & SW gained three systems in the Q-2BI6 constellation in Esoteria, with 0-O6XF being a station system. These rumours had no ground at all since that space belonged to Stain Empire’s former renters Sex Drugs & Rock’N’Roll and it’s more likely that either Br1ck took that space on an opportunistic move while both SE/C0VEN and Sys-K are occupied with their war, or they made a deal with Stain Empire.

On the war progress, there have been various mid to large scale engagements mainly around the HHQ system, a Sys-K jumpbridge system, in Esoteria. Stain Empire and C0VEN anchored Sovereignty Blockade Units on Friday, reinforcing the system’s Infrastructure HUB and also killing three POS, with one being the jumpbridge POS. Sys-K formed up to defend and lost the fight quite badly. When the I-Hub came out of reinforce on Sunday however, the Romulans had also joined on Sys-K’s side and Sys-K managed to save the I-HUB and hence successfully defend the system. While SE/C0ven has been performing well in most of the engagements that have occurred between them, with both the Romulans and Atlas joining the fight, any attempt to sovereignty they make on their own will be quite hard to be successful.
