The North

The Northern Coalition continues its defensive stance, with member and guest alliances still basing out of H-W in Tribute Core, and is either assisting Goons in capturing Cloud Ring from Ev0ke or humiliating Intrepid Crossing in Cobalt Edge. With Ev0ke having evacuated the region weeks before the invasion even begins, and only showing minimal resistance, it won’t take long till Cloud Ring is Goons. Not that Evoke would be able to defend that space on their own, anyway.

In more detail, all three station systems of the Prelle constellation are under attack, with all outposts exiting their second reinforce either tomorrow or the day after. Goons are still basing out of the 31-MLU system in Syndicate that produces various engagements between Goons and Evoke /Cry Havoc, with a CH titan dead only a few days ago.

On a funnier note, a quite hilarious situation occurred during the Cloud Ring campaign with Goons starting the invasion by spamming ‘Heil Hitler’ in local. Since Ev0ke is a german alliance, and germans don’t have any sense of humour they petitioned it, which resulted to a corp-wide gag on Goonwaffe by GM DiscoNap , preventing them to talk in any chat channels whatsoever, that was later reversed by the petitions that followed between Darious JOHNSON, the goons’ leader, and GM Lelouch.

Lastly, the rumours about a second northern war are growing stronger, with IT Alliance freighters moving throughout empire to strategic low-sec systems in northern Forge. Assumptions are that it may start at the end of this week.

There’s also a lengthy discussion in effect on our forums about the name of this second war, aside of the obvious MAX2, with the majority of the names being horrible, so please do help us out.

...or the Providence update

A series of fail cascades and screw-ups on the Holders’ side shows the state of the Providence coalition. Even with pressure having being somewhat halted from the AAA & UK bloc, the providence coalition failed to recover any strength or morale stability and their failure in taking a hold of the situation continues.

Act 2 of this war started with Aegis Militia, a holder alliance and owner of the Q-6LG1 constellation planning to move to a new alliance name, with the results of the plan being horrendous. The sovereignty transition to the new alliance was unsuccessful, and subsequently dropped in the whole constellation making structures vulnerable. After a bunch of skirmishes with Ushra’Khan destroying TCUs and trying to online their own, and in most occasions the TCUS were bugged and failed to online, AM only managed to reclaim two of the stations in 3KB and I-MG out of four, while UK gained the other two previously AM stations in Z-RF and 3D-C. And if you think this is bad, there’s worse; coming from now dead Sylph Alliance, probably the worst ex-space holding alliance in the game.

The story goes like this. Sylph’s latest addition United States Army (sic!), an ex-LFA corp, persuaded the alliance leadership to give them director roles in the executor corp after spending 8 days in the alliance. USAA also believed that Sylph should changes sides and ally with the Southern bloc, without even considering the very negative relations and past between Sylph and UK, or the fact that Slyph is that terrible no one would want to side with them. So, after everyone else told them it is not happening, they went emo and kicked all the other corps with Sov dropping in 2 non-station systems in providence and 5 station systems Sylph holded in northern Catch.

The station systems lost in the NNLX-K constellation are being recovered by southern providence allies Twillight Federation and Dark Taboo, with only the N-8BZ6 station alredy been taken by UK, with another 2 outposts still being unclaimed/conquered.

Goodbye Sylph, I will definitely not miss you.

While it seems that the consequences of Sylph’s collapse weren’t that severe, there are rumours floating around that Twilight Fed and Dark Taboo might side with the enemy.

Lastly, ATLAS also deployed in Providence and is attacking Severance assets in KBP7 system. Hehehe, someone got jealous.

Southwest

The most retarded diplomatic conflict took place between IT Alliance and Stain Empire. And I’m saying ‘diplomatic’ since you can hardly call it an invasion. Maybe the ‘Invasion that never happened’.

Stain Empire decided to reset standings with IT Alliance from positive to neutral for the sole purpose of gaining more targets. IT got mad and declared an invasion with target being Paragon Soul, a region that SE held about 5 station systems but never really used them since they traditionally based out of Stain, which is NPC 0.0. So SE did the smartest thing ever and transferred 3 out of 5 stations to Red.Overlord that is blue both to Stain and IT. And since ROL is probably the closest ally to AAA and AAA is one of the most important allies IT has, they did not think of resetting or attacking ROL, especially to gain just a few more outposts that they woudn’t even want at this point. And so this ‘invasion that never happened’ that would have been something to occupy IT’s members after the endless carebearing which they have been doing since Delve was recaptured, came to a close before it even started. A side result of the ’invasion that never happened’ was for Sys-K and LR to show their true colours by siding immediately with IT instead of SE. Which was obviously to anyone since they both have received space from IT in Period Basis and are much closer to IT now than they are to Stain Empire. Coven has sided with SE though and just announced a reset of standings towards Systematic Chaos. While Systematic Chaos are big, they are very average in terms of pvp capabilities and experience, and COVEN/SE are the opposite. Small but very competent, with experienced sub-cap pilots, and a strong capital fleet. It will be interesting to see how it develops.

The next Eve expansion has been announced, its name is Tyrannis (which sounds like caries in my language), is about playing sim city in space and is expected to be an even bigger failure than Dominion was.
