Since there are occasions that nearly nothing is going on, my plan is to continue doing the updates on a content basis with a minimum of two days and a maximum of one week. Even if the worst case scenario takes place and nothing happens for a week, I guess I’ll invent some stuff and make an update.
Updates will fall in two categories. Normal Updates & ‘Breaking News!’ Updates. Normal Updates will be covering all fronts and powerblocs that something is going on, so don’t expect to hear much about drone lands or the south-east, and Breaking News will be well... breaking news.
I won’t be using google wave for now since I really can’t be bothered with it, but I will be considering using it later on. If you have any sorts of intel or input that you would want to be in the update please PM me and if it’s not awful unfunny propaganda, well-thought is accepted, I’ll make sure it goes into the update.

The North
‘A most awesome campaign, now a dead campaign’
TRI + Friends (TRI, Atlas , C H, Evoke, ROL, CO2, INIT+pets) VS The NC
TRI+Friends momentum had been in a decline and Atlas sudden decision to remove themselves from the North gave it the killing blow. It has also been reported that Atlas didn’t properly inform the majority of the Alliances who participated in the campaign or made any kind of discussion about it, that resulted in what miscommunication and inter-alliance drama create, distance and apathy. NC recovered most of the stations they lost during the campaign in Pure Blind, JC- and P-2, while Cry Havoc still holds D2-. The majority of the moons lost are also recovered or being recovered.
Atlas hasn’t stated their plans yet and if they will be getting involved in another campaign in the near future so the current call is to return home.
INIT and R.OL have stated that they will stay in the North and run joint roams. My estimate is this won’t last for very long and they will soon return back to the south.
TRI has both issued and received wardecs from the majority of the NC so expect some fighting in Empire. They have also been killing IT in NPC fountain, which might be their next staging area and implies no standings to IT.
Cry Havoc is doing what they do best, killing supercaps left and right.
Evoke still holds Cloud Ring..
No info from CO2 whatsoever but my guess would be that they moved back to Venal.
While there are multiple factors which caused this campaign to fail, the servers’ status was the most decisive one. TRI’s side apart from getting fights and killing their most hated enemies had no real gain to continue fighting in a heavily lagged environment and their pilots started gradually to loose interest and became apathetic about the whole campaign. At the same time NC morale and numbers were growing and since they had a vast interest in continuing the defence as failure would equate to losing their space, the turnout is in favour of the NC.
Something that has to be mentioned tho is that surprisingly TRI didn’t failcascade! Also this campaign has produced pretty awesome pr0n.
The Day After...
After losing Geminate and becoming a homeless puppy, Wildly Inappropriate received an offer from the NC for taking Branch and living there, that they promptly turned down. The reason as voiced from WI’s High Command is that Branch would be a perfect area for a meatshield, an alliance that would spend the majority of their time carebearing and only waking up in a PvP sense when being invaded. Instead, they asked for the U8-CWA constellation in Pure Blind, and the JC- Station as a base. The plan is to become a more PvP oriented alliance, to recover from losses, build a dread army etc.
Standard stuff 0.0 internet spaceships alliances do and discuss. If they don’t cascade, which is very unlikely now since they managed to pull through even after losing half of their alliance in corps/numbers and a whole region, they will only become stronger from this.
Mostly Harmless who was extremely affected and harmed from this war also managed to pull through, and that is right after the slugfest that was PL’s roadtrip through PB. The new plans are to also become better PvPiers, build more dreads for their pilots, recapture what was lost etc.
Their headquarters remain in Fade, while the carebear base will be in Branch, and the combat base will be in NPC Pure Blind, that is Roir, KLY, etc.
Majesta Empire recovered all the moons they lost to Atlas, and I hope they won’t put any small towers on them yet again.
RAGE is probably the luckiest from all four when it comes to this war, since their losses were fairly limited and their gains were 3 more stations and the best constellation in southern Vale, which is the 88G-MA constellation.
The above alliances will be participating in a Geminate clean-up op together with the rest of the NC.
Useless Info and smug facts.
Phreeze left RZR and is now in Goonswarm. After Phreeze joined, Goonswarm failed to pay their bills, lost Delve, Karttoon took all their money, self-destructed their dread fleet for the insurance and kicked everyone out of the alliance. But that will be further analyzed bellow.

To cover the empty chair, Eddz along with KIA corp joined RZR.
The North is still gay and guristas still suck.

GoonSwarm !!!
So Karttoon was in his honeymoon, during that, Delve’s sov bills were issued, and due to being neurotically insane about security, no one from the Goon Directorate had access to the alliance wallet, which ended up with the bills being partially paid and IT immediately taking goons’ most important stations, which was NOL- and J-L. NOL for being the centre of Delve and centre of combat operations, most goons had their assets there, and J-L for being the capital base of the Swarm. Promptly after there was an alliance meeting which announced that Delve is lost and orders from that point and further were to completely evac Delve and return to Syndicate. After all that would have been completed, further decisions would be made on the course GoonSwarm would be taking.
To the surprise of nearly every non-goon, or to the ones who just don’t get goons, they were actually happy about this turn of events. Delve was successfully evac’ed with breakout ops around the clock and goons were losing stuff in syndicate.
The second meeting took place where to everyone’s enjoyment Darius JOHNSON was back and leading it. He also confirmed that Delve is not Goons anymore, and the plan from that point and further was to complete the evac, re-group in Syndicate, and begin GS next campaign that would be gaining high-ends around Syndicate and surrounding lowsec, Outer Ring and Cloud Ring to re-establish the alliance’s financial resources. With the next step being kicking Evoke out of CR and controlling the region as a home base without investing too many assets in the area, and keeping sovereign holdings to a minimum. That would also come with an official entrance of the Swarm in the NC.
And Karttoon returns from his honeymoon. The first chat between him and the directorate looked good and the fear that he would highjack the money and run didn’t appear at the time. It was also obvious though that he wasn’t willing to give up CEO.
However, the heat from the memberbase was increasing, requesting his removal from the position of CEO. So he grabs all the money (around 300 Bill in the corp wallet and various logistical/other assets), kicks all the corps out of the alliance, self-destructs the Swarm’s dread fleet for insurance payout and also keeps the intellectual property by the name of Band of Brothers. Woops!
Goonfleet is also under Karttoon’s control and remains to be seen what will happen with it. Darius has already requested for all goons to drop roles and be ready to join Goonwaffe.
Obviously, since Delve sov was majorly corp-assigned and wasn’t linked to a holding corp, it immediately dropped which will lead to a massive land grab for IT and Co.
Useless Info and Smug Facts
A GoonFleet Hel logged on after GoonSwarm had been kicked from the Alliance, which caused it to bump off the POS shields and promptly die to Cry Havoc. The goon outcast corp The Greater Goon (GROON) rushed in to assist, but Cry Havoc spawned Titans which made it impossible to save it. The majority of the rescue fleet also died shortly after

The Wizardhats Update
I’ll try to keep this one as short as possible since I really don’t have any interest whatsoever in it.
After the successful capture of D-G by -A- and Pets, in a completely lagged out battle that started with around 600 in local and rose up to 1600 with -A- having staged in system first and ended up being another Y-2 with CVA losing the majority of their cap fleet to nearly zero losses and a successful parade of force, Against All Authorities announced a list of terms that was completely unrealistic, but also huge and awful and you can read it bellow :
People of Providence - from -A- with love.
Consider the following an open statement to the people of Providence, their affiliates and their supporters alike. This statement is provided to you in two versions, a longwinding but detailed and self explanatory wall of text, and a TL;DR right at the bottom.
Since longer then most of us can remember, the alliance of -A- and the various alliances and organisations living in Providence have enjoyed a relationship which entailed both risk, fun, and challenges for all involved. While different sides base themselves on different principles of engagement and vision, all sides have over the years stared at each other over the barrels of our weapons face to face.
Regardless of shooting each other (or maybe because of, but without excess), we have over the years come to a pretty open relationship based on more then just exposure to each other as neighbours who enjoy the challenges of this New Eden. We have come to a relationship with an open visor that served more purposes then all sides sometimes like to admit. Even on the level of us common pilots and soldiers, we have grown a relationship of respect and appreciation.
Engaging each other in either fun or challenge, has been the nature of events, and is one of the principle elements of the relationship we have. Or had, I should perhaps say.
Not too long ago, when the alliance of CVA found itself disbanded, -A- stepped up and got in touch right then and there with your leaders, regardless of being neutral in our relationships we pledged to stand by and defend the people of Providence should the unfortunate situation of CVA disbanding give rise to a threat or assault on Providence and its people. We formed, and stood ready, but a single word was needed. No, not even a single word.
It is as such, remarkable to see how a unique relationship where either side knew perfectly what they were at with the other side was disrupted by a long term vision designed by CVA leadership which culminated in the now infamous project to expand into Catch, into -A- space, and onwards from there.
Born from a sentiment of frustration with the day to day mechanisms of our New Eden, taxation by Institutions found in the Empires and hard to accept out here in lawless space by many, as well as a sense of unease with the paths available to us out here in lawless space, that project did not just have an ill conceived focus and target, it was also based on unfounded assumptions from both economical and strategic perspectives. After all, we have the mechanisms that enable us pilots to not just make a living, but to make a great living, through a little effort and a little teamwork. As organisations, this applies to us even more, since even a single system with a single station can provide for an ever growing number of pilots and the organisations they are a part of. It is not an easy adaptation, it affects many of us, but perhaps it is not wrong to say that of all pilots it affects the richest of us the most. Perhaps herein lie the causes of the current escalation.
Not too long ago, there was a first escalation which occured in the F9E system, where a clear and established boundary was stepped over. The response was swift, but limited, as communicated to the CVA leadership at the time. As mentioned before, with an open visor and knowing what you are at with the other side you can get face to face and sort things out. Even so, because a boundary was stepped over, we made sure to make it clear once more what the boundaries were, and what reaction it would provoke should those get crossed. As some of you may remember, most of us common pilots or soldiers saw the now infamous comic made by Ivan Wise floating around. While entertaining, it was the exact gist of the message.
Continued
But then we became aware of events and happenings bearing great similarities to long term scenarios once discussed in theorycrafting among CVA leadership. Events of such similarity that it gave us enough concern to start observing more closely, and even to start digging, especially because we in -A- were going through a time of adaptation (in more ways then just dealing with the institutional claws of Empire institutions).
We wrote these events off as not very likely, because of previous communications, but also on the basis of how we ourselves had been able to adapt as pilots to changing circumstances. It turns out we were wrong. Not only did it become clear through the actions of LFA that the intent to expand into Catch was a clear and present intent, but it also became clear through the actions of CVA leadership to let LFA cross boundaries with full intent, that there was more to this at play. This became clear once we checked in once again, but found that in the mean time we were not just seeing LFA, but combined fleets crossing not just boundaries but going directly for systems -A- deems of strategic value as buffers for its infrastructure and sphere of influence.
During that time, -A- was engaged in a short campaign elsewhere, so the crossing of boundaries by LFA, combined with this being reinforced by combined fleets from Providence, and under the clear sanction from CVA, it basically made us look around and raise an eyebrow. How was it possible that in spite of open visors, clear boundaries, and a previous incident with clear response this could happen. Even if CVA would be unable or unwilling to adapt to the changes of New Eden, these actions and plans we were seeing from CVA leadership made little sense at all. After all, as some leadership perhaps remembers, when Agression and Veritas left Immensea, talks were opened with CVA leadership on transferring the region of Immensea to CVA for the people of Providence to expand into. These talks even entailed setting connections as required. As it stands, the offer was refused, and these talks ended.
Be all this as it may, we are facing a conflict of annihilation, a conflict for which the reasons are rooted in confusion and such a variety of circumstances that it boggles the mind how this could start in the first place. We have no hate for the people of Providence, we bear no malcontempt for its Holders, on the contrary. But some unwritten rules apply to all space holding alliances equally, similar to the laws of physics, to every action a reaction must and will follow. It is not our desire to turn this into a conflict of excess, but the actions of your leaders determine our reactions.
In the past few days following but also during the conquest of D-G, there have been a lot of talks. Between leaders, between FC's, between pilots. All of these talks come down to the simple statement that we harbour no hate, we react as can be expected, our reaction is directly correspondant to the nature and size of the threat aligned to our interests, and that we have no wish to burn or remove the people of Providence. New Eden is innately ingrained with violence, but it must not by default be a violence which knows no boundaries.
Unfortunately, while as pilots we still seem perfectly capable to fly around with open visor, this appears not to be the case on a leadership level in CVA. Sofar all efforts here have fallen silent, and what we see in preparation and in planning among CVA is only going to fuel the conflict to a nuclear fire which will consume the region.
As it currently stands, we have spoken with CVA leadership, stating our intent to not cause permanent harm, even with a scenario of a return of the D-G system, and informed CVA leadership of -A- holding back (unless again provoked) until following Monday February 1st at midnight pending their reaction and willingness to contain the current conflict. However, even this has been refused.
TL;DR
People of Providence, give your leaders a reality check. Their efforts supporting their current vision are not just incorrect, but counterproductive and born out of a stubborn resistance to adaptation. Make this clear to them please, or you will all die for them.
Have a pleasant day.

This text caused some speedy evacuation from the usual suspects and also a very heated discussion between ProviBloc leadership that you can also read here :
http://www.kugutsumen.com/showthread...ma)-Feb-2-2010
Which produced their official response to -A- :
From the day CVA took its first step into Providence, we as an Alliance knew that it was a distinct possibility that we may be pushed back to empire. In fact if enough of the right people turned their eyes in our direction it could be an inevitability. This has always been in plain view and thought inside every CVA decision made, from each successive step: Our 1st outpost in providence, The siege of QR and 9uy, as well as the continued pacification of Providence after the fall of Unity.
But to live by the pity/charity of others is no way for an Amarrian to live. If -A- and friends have the wherewithal to push us back to empire they should. Keeping us alive as a plaything, while fun for individual pilots is insulting.
While AAA may feel we have a Semi-Symbotic Relationship with them, We have never been under the assumption that there was or is anything "friendly" about it. They shoot us, We shoot them. They try to kill the people living in Providence, and we try to protect them. AAA Have been proven to "do anything" to win, as well as change their standings at a drop of a random insult.
How anyone could trust them to agree to any "long term" deal is impossible to think. To agree to this "deal" in and of itself would mean that we are not "defending our ideals" of a Free Space. We would merely be inviting people here to simply be slaughtered by AAA whenever they came to let off some steam. How could anyone in their right mind believe that CVA and the Providence Alliances stand for anything, if they simply would agree to let people die so they could continue to be fat and lazy and earn money off those who would look up to them.
UK, once removed from providence, reside on our borders, living in and amongst AAA. They grow stronger and stronger, and threaten simple citizens of Eve who just want to live under a civilized regime. CVA cannot and will not allow these terrorists a free pass. It may be that UK have cuddled up to these groups simply because they know AAA are large and powerful. It may be they think that AAA will destroy CVA for them. We for one only know that UK are the antithesis to what we believe in.
With recent changes in technology (ie Dominion), Providence became a lot less secure. Attackers no longer have to engage a single defenders gun. Capital Systems are no more. Cyno dampers and jump bridges are rarer. Defences become meaningless forcing people to become more, sides to be bigger, fights to become more massive. We infact realize this, and are painfully aware of the need to expand. We have rewarded some of our most outstanding local alliances with Holder status. Those who indeed are willing to fight along side us as hard as possible to keep what we believe alive. Holding space is not a right. It takes time, dedication, effort. A constant sharpening of the sword, challenging new and old pod pilots alike along the lines of dedication to God and the Path that we have chosen.
The CVA has existed alongside -A- for a long time - a lot longer than most of the people screaming about the 'potential risk' of losing their space have been. Most 'veterans' have never felt any particular need to pick fights with -A- because we have always known what they are capable of and because Providence is enough for us. Yet, over the past months, there have been itchings by some to try our hands into Catch, to poke and find out what CVA and its allies are capable of. With the eventual hope to remove UK Sovereignty from Catch and spread forth our beliefs into new lands, we fight.
To that end we poke, and continue to poke. Indeed there could come a time that which we will see the end of CVA/Holders in Providence, either from AAA and friends, or some other group of alliances that decide to come at us full force. CVA and its Holder allies will continue to fight for our ideals. We will continue to fight for what we believe is the right course of action, even if it results in our loss of friends and space.
If you surrender once, you will always surrender.
If you fight, to the best of your ability and try your hardest and still lose, at least you can hold your head up knowing that you may have lost but you didn't quit.
If you see us in Space we will still shout:
Amarr Victor!!
